In the context of the EU-funded project “Meritocracy and Literature: Transcultural Approaches to Hegemonic Forms” (MERLIT), Prof. Eva Ulrike Pirker and Dr. Maria Pace Aquilina would like to propose a session for the MLA’s Annual Convention 2025 in New Orleans (9-12 Jan 2025), entitled 'Early modern meritocracies: Conceptualizations of value, valorization, achievement and entitlement in early modern literature and culture'.
