Chiara Zampieri
Biography
Chiara Zampieri is postdoctoral fellow in Comparative Literature at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and teaching assistant in Italian Literature and Linguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB). After obtaining a PhD in Comparative Literatures at KU Leuven with a thesis titled Voix d'Étrurie: la représentation de l'antiquité étrusque dans la littérature européenne (1840-1940), which dealt with the reception and representation of Etruscan material culture in French, Italian and English modernist literature, Chiara Zampieri undertook a post-doctoral project entitled Muséo-littérature: les musées et la commande aux écrivain.e.s contemporain.e.s (1998-2024). Early results of this project have been published in academic journals such as Études littéraires, Communication et langages and RELIEF. Chiara Zampieri is also an active member of various international research groups aimed at studying the relationships between heritage, museums, and literature. Since 2020 she has been collaborating with the PatrimoniaLitté research network and since 2022 she has been responsible for the scientific coordination and communication for the RIMELL (Recherches Interdisciplinaires sur la Muséographie et l'Exposition de la Littérature et du Livre).
Her areas of interest are: Literature and Museums, Literature and Archaeology, Literature Visual Arts, Literature and Material Culture, Literature and Science.
