Dominique Ninanne
Biography
Dominique Ninanne works at the University of Oviedo, where she teaches French as a Foreign Language and Textual Commentary in the BA program in Modern Languages and Literatures, as well as Women and Science in the MA program in Gender and Diversity.
She earned her PhD in French Studies from the University of Oviedo in 2010. She specializes in Belgian literature in French. She is the author of the first monograph on the playwright Michèle Fabien: L’éclosion d’une parole de théâtre: L’œuvre de Michèle Fabien des origines à 1985 (Peter Lang, 2014).
Her current research applies an ecopoetic methodology to analyze the perception of nature’s degradation in the works of Belgian writers from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, as well as on the ecological engagement of contemporary women authors (Sandrine Willems, Caroline Lamarche, Véronique Bergen, etc.).
She is a member of the research group Intersecciones. Literaturas, culturas & Teorías contemporáneas at the University of Oviedo. The group’s current research project focuses on contemporary narratives of solidarity (Viajar por mundos: narrativas de solidaridad y coaliciones en la escritura y representación contemporáneas).
