Lise Van Acker
Biography
Lise Van Acker holds a master’s degree in Dutch and English Literature and Linguistics (Ghent University 2021) and an advanced master’s degree in Literary Studies (KU Leuven 2022). In 2019, she was an Erasmus exchange student at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. Her theses deal with the representation of consciousness in modernist and contemporary texts. Additionally, she holds a postgraduate degree in Curatorial Studies (KASK, Ghent University and S.M.A.K. 2023) and was assistant curator in the research group Ghent, playing field of the visual arts, 1957-1987 where she in particular contributed to “The Letters Project” in KIOSK. From October 2023, she is a doctoral researcher on the project “Theatre of the Extended Mind: Cognition in Twentieth-Century and Contemporary Audio Drama” under supervision of Birgit Van Puymbroeck and Alison Luyten.
