MERLIT Researchers participated in the 14th CLIC Day on 6 December 2024 at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Building D, Pleinlaan, Elsene). The theme this year was Multilingualism and Literature.
Bringing together scholars from different disciplines such as cultural studies, intermediality studies, translation studies, and comparative literature, the 14th Annual Study Day of CLIC offered a new engagement with multilingualism as a theoretical concept, analytical category, textual practice and lived experience in the study of literature.
MERLIT Researcher, Maria Pace Aquilina presented a conference paper on Multilingualism During the Restoration Era in England: Shaping the Social, Political and Cultural Scene as part of Panel 3 - Linguistic Fragmentation: Multilingualism as a Catalyst for Social Stratification.
The conference was also jointly organised by MERLIT Researchers, Eva Ulrike Pirker and Ceydanur Temurok amongst other CLIC-affiliated members.
