Barbara Ragazzi

Barbara Ragazzi is a PhD student at the University of Catania, with a project focused on late 19th-century Sicilian literary periodicals, including the creation of a digital archive. Since October 2026, she has been a visiting PhD student at the CLIC Research Centre for Literary and Intermedial Crossings, under the supervision of professor Dirk Vanden Berghe. Her current research interests center on the relationship between literature and the periodical press in 19th- and early 20th-century Italy, with a particular focus on how journals influenced the genesis of literary works and emerging genres, the reception of contemporary Italian and foreign literature, and the process of canon formation.
