Under the theme "Writing and Listening as Artistic Inquiry: Perspectives from Artistic Research and the Humanities," this year's CLIC symposium explores how writing and listening function as practices of artistic inquiry. It invites reflection on the ways in which these practices shape attention, engagement and knowledge production, while fostering dialogue between artistic research, literary studies and the wider humanities.
This year’s event is jointly organized by Ellen Gillard, Hannah Van Hove, Inge Pieters, Kurt Bertels, and Tiago Silva. The languages of the conference are English, Dutch and French. A publication of the proceedings, with selected contributions, is planned in the Journal for Literary and Intermedial Crossings (JLIC).

Please note that there is no fee for registration (and that lunch is offered free of charge). It would help us enormously and avoid food waste if you could let us know by 3 December if your plans change and you’re no longer able to make (part of) the day. If that is the case, please email Inge.Pieters@vub.be to let us know - thank you!
