Lisa Heyvaert

Lisa Heyvaert holds a master's degree in Dutch and English Linguistics and Literary Studies (VUB 2025; Honourable Mention Jeanne Lonnoy Award of Encouragement for Literary Studies). Her research interests include children's literature, children's agency, trauma and care. In her thesis, she examined the interaction between trauma resolution and care in the work of British children's author Annabel Pitcher. She is also a poet and her debut collection, Lieveheersbeestje, appeared in 2020. Lisa currently works as a pedagogical assistant in the Multilingual Bachelor at VUB, with plans to submit a PhD proposal with FWO.
