Maribeth Diggle is a performer, director, and researcher pioneering the development of Breath Art—a new methodology that positions breath as a primary agent of dynamic expression in performance. Her project investigates how conscious breathing techniques can deepen artistic presence and enhance performative impact, while addressing the current lack of critical analysis and definition of breath within interpretive and embodied practices. Moving beyond therapeutic frameworks, her work reframes breath as a creative, communicative, and expressive force. Through ongoing workshops and her own artistic practice, she is shaping a methodology that integrates breath into performance training and curricula, with the goal of transforming how breath is understood and utilized across the performing arts and beyond.
