On Friday 15 May 2026 MERLIT researcher, Maria Pace Aquilina presented her paper 'Theatres of Privacy: Hidden Interiors, Erotic Surveillance, and Spatial Politics in William Wycherley's The Country Wife' as part of the 36th International SEDERI conference. The theme of this year's conference was Secret Spaces and Hidden Desires: Boundaries and Transgressions in Early Modern England.
