WP3 Modernist Manifesto in the Black Atlantic World at GMN Symposium 2025
MERLIT members Eva Ulrike Pirker and Suzanne Scafe will be presenting work in progress from Work Package 3 (WP 3) at the second Global Modernism Network Symposium, Of Intermediality. This edition of the GMN encounter is co-organised by Mantra Mukim, Eva Ulrike Pirker and Birgit Van Puymbroeck in Brussels. This is the second time that WP3 will be interacting with researchers from the EUTOPIA network and beyond, who are seeking to expand a still narrowly-defined understanding of modernism as movement/approach - one based in Western, metropolitan centres - and highlight the transcultural ramifications instead.
