Noah Van den Eynde
Talent for research student
Biography
Noah Van den Eynde completed a BA in Linguistics and Literary Studies French-German at the VUB with high distinction and is currently pursuing a MA in Intermediality. He joins CLIC as a Talent for Research student, exploring ecocriticism in francophone Sub-Saharan African literature under supervision of Prof. Dr. Sara Buekens.
For his Bachelor paper, he conducted research on the transformation of societal values between Goethe’s Iphigenie auf Tauris and the original Iphigenia in Tauris drama by Euripides, examining the new value system the Enlightenment era introduced in western society and its propagation through literature.
His research interests are very broad, but he’s mostly attracted to intermediality studies - specifically literature in theatre and music - and the representations of societal values, culture and ideology in literature.
