My research interests lie in narrative studies and exploring the transfer of conflicting narratives to English-mediated international discourse. Specifically, I investigate non-dogmatic doctrines of translation studies that view translation activity beyond the mere interlingual transfer of texts and explore the interplay among language, politics and translation.

In my master’s thesis, I studied the role of translation in introducing new Western sociopolitical concepts, and literary genres and models to the Persian literary canon having led to its reformation.

In my doctoral studies, I delve into the role of language and translation in dissemination of conflicting narratives in the Iranian political arena on Twitter to an international audience. To accomplish this, I employ digital humanities methodologies, including data modeling, data mining, and text analysis, and machine learning methods, to explore and analyze the conflicting narratives that travel across linguistic communities.
