Serkan Bulut
Biography
Serkan Bulut graduated from the Journalism Department of Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication in 2011. He completed his Master's and Ph.D. education in the Department of Journalism at Istanbul University's Institute of Social Sciences. Between 2013 and 2018, Bulut worked as a Research Assistant in the Journalism Department of Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication. During the period between March and July 2018, he conducted his doctoral thesis research at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Wroclaw in Poland. In 2018, he started working at the Journalism Department of Çukurova University's Faculty of Communication, and in 2021, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor. He currently works at Çukurova University. As a fellow of the 2219 TÜBİTAK Post-Doctoral Research Scholarship Program, Bulut continues his research on artificial intelligence and news discourse at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His research interests include digital media and journalism, new technologies and digital possibilities in the news media, Google journalism (SEO), journalism and artificial intelligence, data visualization and YouTube journalism among others.
