

Tiago Silva
Tiago Silva holds a postdoctoral degree in Literary Studies from the Federal University of Sergipe, a PhD in Letters with an emphasis on Literary Theory from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2018), and a Master’s degree in Regional Development from the State University of Paraíba (2012). He earned a BA in English Language and Literature from the Federal University of Campina Grande (2008) and a Law degree from the State University of Paraíba (2009). He is currently a professor of English Language and Literatures at the Institute of Letters, Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), where he teaches at both undergraduate and graduate levels. His research focuses on Postcolonial and Decolonial Studies, with an emphasis on Literary and Cultural Theories and Representations. Since 2023, he has led the REBRALLI research group – Representations of Brazil in Anglophone Literatures – dedicated to investigating the cultural and social representations of Brazil and its peoples in Anglophone literary and cultural contexts.
Tiago joins the MERLIT-VUB team as a visiting researcher from October to December 2025.
